NYC, here we come!
I recently found out that my stage play First Hand Woman will be heading to the NYC International Fringe Festival this coming August.
This will mark our U.S. debut!
I can’t tell you how excited I am. This is a crazy-great opportunity.
The two shows that First Hand Woman has been compared to the most, Sex in the City and The Vagina Monologues are both NYC-grown. I seriously can’t wait to get this play up in The Big Apple. 🙂
A few of the cast/crew members from our previous runs won’t be able to join us on this next big step, so I’ve gotta wrap my head around bringing on new people to join the team. Scary and exciting at the same time. 🙂
It’s tough to say goodbye. Especially because some of these delightful ladies have been involved with this play for the last five-plus years. Each of them brought a beautiful energy to our previous runs, but, as they say, the show must go on.
It’s time to put on my producer hat and get the ball rolling!
Now here’s where YOU come in. I’m wondering how you handle things when you have to change your game plan? Crawl into a hole, roll up your sleeves, freeze up, panic, rejoice? Let me know by leaving comments below.
And as always,
Dream up,
